Yes. Our soup, pancake, curry, and most of the salads are made with gluten-free ingredients. Some of our daily specials will be gluten free. We work hard to avoid cross contamination but due to the size of the kitchen our food is not suitable for people with celiac disease.
We can provide food for people with the most common allergies and intolerances although if you are allergic to garlic or onion we recommend that you let us know in advance as those two ingredients are used in most of our dishes. Our kitchen is small, therefore if you have a severe allergy please email us in advance and we will try to accommodate you to the best of our capabilities.
Difficult question, let’s call it scratch-made comfort food. We take inspiration from many cuisines around the world and this is reflected in the variety available in our specials and permanent menu. Black Cat makes the Tiramisu, Rocky Road, Cinnamon Roll, Bread Pudding and cheesecakes, the rest is provided by the wonderful bakers: Kraving Cakes and Manna Organic cakes.
We have Tuesdays available for events and fundraisers, we have done plenty of them in the past 3 years : radical housing association, food not Bombs, Women cooperative bakery in Rojava, FRIEND animal sanctuary, Feminist film festival. Let us know if you want to organize something and we can discuss it.

Yes we do, any day apart from Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 4:30. Book your table by sending an email to us. For groups between 8 and 16 people we offer a set menu with starters to share and a main to choose between the options agreed beforehand. We are a small cafe and we want to always have room for walk-ins.

We are not a healthy eating restaurant and some of our food can be categorized as Junk Food, we have some sides and house cut chips which are deep fried. Although our salads and some of the specials are made using limited amounts of good quality oils like sunflower, sesame or olive oil. Ask on the day regarding which the healthiest option would be.
Our breakfast bread is sour dough
Not all our food is organic although our chopped tomatoes, coconut milk and some pulses are. We get most of our vegetables from a farm in Boston and although they are not labeled as organic they are produced without chemicals or pesticides.
Hell yes, probably the most requested recipe since we open. The mayo is home made and has a lot of fresh herbs and garlic in it.
